In this episode I am joined by Belles and Whistles, a duo from Omaha making waves in the country/pop scene. Kelli and Jaymie are a mother/daughter duo that is making a name for themselves all over the country. We talk about recording and working with Nashville writers, touring, and what being in a family band is like for both mom and teen daughter.
Belles & Whistles, a mother/daughter, singer/songwriter duo, are building a strong industry buzz. Already sharing stages with Kenny Rogers (receiving a standing ovation after their opening set at the 2014 Kentucky State Fair), Brett Eldridge, Jerrod Niemann, Scotty McCreery, Ray Scott, and many others. Belles & Whistles are Jaymie Jones and her 17-year-old daughter and Kelli Jones. The ladies have already garnered a growing following on social media, including over 16,000 fans on Facebook. Their music can heard on over 70 radio stations across the USA, in 1,800 retail outlets, and streamed on CMT.com, GACTV.com and ZUUS Country.
They’ve achieved international video airplay on two original songs, “Boy Like You” and “Princess.” The duo has played for audiences all over the country at fairs, festivals, clubs, radio shows, and writers rounds. Belles & Whistles enjoy connecting to audiences with their personal lyrics, strong harmonies and genuine performances, as the audience shares in their onstage chemistry and their joy in performing.
The duo is building on recent successes to bring high-energy country, soul-stirring ballads with harmonies that can only come from family. The summer of 2015 promises another performance at the Country Stampede, opening for the Oak Ridge Boys at the Kentucky State Fair, and many other fairs and festivals. The duo is currently writing in Nashville. Fans can expect something bigger than two voices in harmony from Belles & Whistles, and when Jaymie and Kelli leave the stage holding hands and move onto the next step of the journey, they hope to leave you on your feet, and they are happy to have you along for the ride.
