Wed, 25 February 2009 As a producer and a musician, he is noted for a dark, rich and layered sound and a whispering sprechgesang lyrical style. Culturally, Tricky bridges white and black England, particularly in his fusion of rock and hip hop, high art and pop culture. Wed, 25 February 2009 Landon and Greg from the Omaha band Little Brazil join me in the studio and bring along some songs from their upcoming album "Son". We talk about how that band has grown from 4+ years of playing and touring together. Now signed to Anodyne Records, Little Brazil is set to embark on press and touring behind what seems to be their strongest material to date. Listen in as we talk about the songwriting and recording process of "Son", how the band has evolved over the years, facial hair, and exactly what NOT to do as a band on tour. Sun, 15 February 2009 On this episode I am joined by Nashville singer/songwriter Sharif Iman, who came to Omaha to play the Fashion in Salvation show. It was a huge success and I had the privilege of playing Cajon with him at the show. With any luck Sharif will make his way back to Omaha and share more of his music. Sat, 7 February 2009 On this episode of Worlds of Wayne I welcome Lauren Mulderrig. Currently on tour with band mate and guitarist Alex Barnett, she is making her way across the country and stopped off in Omaha to play a show at Mick's. Turns out it was the last show Mick's would have as the place changed ownership shortly after. We will miss that place. Alex is also a guitarist in the hardcore band Stick To Your Guns and we play a tune at the end of the episode from them. Check out her Myspace page for the 4th video tour diary as they shot some of the interview and had some very kind words to say about the experience. In other news - my mom is now on facebook. Wed, 4 February 2009 Shannon Corey is back! And she brings a few friends - Rally For One joins the show and we all have a fantastic time talking about touring, recording and enjoy some in studio performances. Shannon is currently on tour with Rally For One and has some interesting thoughts on touring in a van with 4 guys. They mix it up a bit in the studio and collaborate on songs. And yes guys, she is that cute in person... It's a tough job... "Baby's Got rockets" by The Dancing Hoods Shannon Corey online Rally For One online Comments[0] |
