In this episode we welcome Omaha band Rock Paper Dynamite into the studio for an interview. We play some songs off of their new record "I've Seen Days" and talk about their recent win of Best Rock Band at the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards. I first met the band when they played a private Christmas party to an enthusiastic crowd of at least 100 people packed in a basement. The band: Joseph Janousek – Vocals, Andrew Janousek – Guitar, Scott Zrust – Drums, Trey Abel – Bass Opening song: "Genius Boy" by Outhouse |

In this episode I interview comedian Gabriel Iglesias. He has been featured on Comedy Central in his own special and before that was seen on Last Comic Standing. Bio Gabriel Iglesias has been described as unbelievably funny, electrifying, and a gifted performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a quality comedy experience in every venue he performs in. His high-octane show is a hilarious mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring all his personal issues to life. Gabe’s clean, animated comedy style has earned national crossover appeal. Ask anyone who has seen him in concert and you will probably hear the same thing, "He was so funny!" Known as the "fluffy" comic in a Hawaiian shirt, the 33-year old funny man often riffs about his girthy middle - whether it's talking about how little dancing it takes for him to work up a sweat at the nightclub, or how hearing his girlfriend coo the words "chocolate cake" over the telephone works for him like phone sex, he evokes laughter. Gabriel’s mass appeal opened the door to a rare opportunity to film a second one hour special and DVD. The new special entitled “I’m Not Fat… I’m Fluffy” Live from El Paso premiered on Comedy Central November 8, 2009. The new show is packed with a perfect blend of impeccable voice skills and an uncanny knack for hilarious storytelling that Gabe is known for. His vast imitative skills re-create numerous sound effects from speeding cars to microwave ovens to a plethora of dead-on voices. The new special is destine to top his previous hugely successful Special/DVD “Hot & Fluffy”. Video of Gabriel Iglesias stand up Opening song: "Bird Dog" by Rock Paper Dynamite |

Once again my favorite Neuroscientist stopped over with her annual gift of scone. The beautiful and talented Kaitliyn Maria Filippini is a wonderful violin player as well as a multi-instrumentalist, artist, film composer, scientist, and as it happens, baker. Her career is taking off in big ways (some of which we can't even tell you at the moment), and I am happy to be able to share them with the audience as she is a great interview. We chat and play a couple of her compositions. Then later I enjoyed her scone. And yes I shared it with my intern Kendall. Opening song about and dedicated to our friend Doug Flynn. All true. He's a superhero. Opening song: "Doug Flynn" by Millions of Boys |

In this episode Ryan, Sara, and Alex from the Omaha band Millions of Boys join me in the studio. They just released a new 10-inch record called "Competing For Your Love" and we talk about vinyl, punk, and big stages whilst drinking some tasty Shiner Bock beers. We showcase 3 songs off the record, which are pretty amazing for those liking the indie/punk/pop/rad sound. Opening song: "Wowowow" by Cursive |
